Taipei Zoo.

HISTORY

The history of the Taipei Zoo can be traced back over 90 years. In 1914, when Taiwan was still under Japanese sovereignty, a Japanese man surnamed Oe established a private zoological garden in Yuan-shan in the northern suburbs of Taipei City.

Following World War II in 1946, the Taipei Zoo was formally taken over by the Taipei City Government. In 1970.

Zoo Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (no entry after 4:00 p.m.)

Animals Exhibit: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (indoor and outdoor exhibits)
